Moore Philanthropy Welcomes Bowie State University Philanthropy Fellow Jada Forbes
Moore Philanthropy welcomes Jada Forbes as our 2026–2027 Bowie State University Philanthropy Fellow, joining our team for a year-long fellowship designed to cultivate the next generation of philanthropic leaders.
A Master of Public Administration student with a passion for public service, Jada was drawn to the fellowship’s emphasis on hands-on learning, executive mentorship, and meaningful engagement with organizations working alongside communities creating lasting change.
Throughout the fellowship, Jada will work alongside the Moore Philanthropy team, gaining firsthand experience in nonprofit management, grantmaking, resource mobilization, communications, and the work that it takes to move resources to community-led organizations and changemakers.
“One thing I’m especially excited about is learning alongside people from different backgrounds and experiences,” Forbes said. “I believe the best ideas come from bringing different perspectives together, and I’m looking forward to learning from my cohort, mentors, and community partners.”
The Bowie State University Philanthropy Fellowship prepares emerging leaders for careers in philanthropy by pairing Fellows with mission-driven organizations committed to advancing equity and expanding opportunity across the sector.

By the conclusion of the fellowship, Jada hopes to deepen her understanding of philanthropy and nonprofit leadership while strengthening the skills needed to help communities thrive.
“By the end of this fellowship, I hope to have a deeper understanding of philanthropy and the nonprofit sector while becoming a stronger leader and communicator,” Forbes said. “Most importantly, I want to leave with the knowledge, relationships, and confidence to help create meaningful change and serve communities with purpose.”
