Finance and Operations Coordinator

The Finance and Operations Coordinator will assist the Director of Strategy, Operations, and Legal with all operational, administrative and financial functions between two rapidly-scaling organizations. The Coordinator must be a self-starter and comfortable working in a start-up environment. The role requires agility, passion and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Hourly Rate: $37.00-$40.00/hour

POSITION OVERVIEW

Moore Impact seeks an experienced Finance & Operations Coordinator to assist the Director of Strategy, Operations & Legal with all operational, administrative and financial functions of the organization between two rapidly-scaling organizations. The Coordinator must be a self-starter and comfortable working in a start-up environment. The role requires agility, passion and an entrepreneurial mindset. The Finance & Operations Coordinator will report to the Director of Strategy, Operations & Legal.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Finance & Operations Coordinator’s duties will include:

  • Manage accounts payable process, including ensuring correct coding and timely remittance of payments
  • Review credit card reconciliations for coding accuracy and ensure backup documentation is sufficient
  • Ensure revenue sources are coded accurately
  • Maintain vouchers, financial files, and records
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end close tasks in accordance with policies and procedures and as directed
  • Assist the Director of Strategy, Operations & Legal to develop and manage the organizations’ budgets
  • Maintain monthly and quarterly budget-to-actual reports, Board financial reports, and department financial reports; prepare ad hoc reports as requested
  • Serve as a point of contact for financial and operations information for both clients and staff
  • Work closely with the Grants Manager to ensure timely grant disbursements
  • Assist with coordination and preparation of annual organizational audits and 990s as directed by the Director of Strategy, Operations & Legal
  • Assist with implementing improvements to controls
  • Research new vendors as needed
  • Other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ideally, candidates for the Finance & Operations Coordinator position will demonstrate:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience with accounts payables/receivables and/or financial reporting
  • Experience with Quickbooks and Excel
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Superior organizational skills, with an ability to work independently, meet deadlines, exercise considerable judgment, discretion, and initiative
